Killing of Mary Lindsay and James Clarke
IRA killing of Mary Lindsay and her chauffeur and servant James Clarke on 14 March 1921 as a result of her passing information to the British authorities that led to the Dripsey ambush and in retaliation for the subsequent execution of 5 IRA members captured on that ocassion. Mary Lindsay's home Leemount House was also burned.
