3 Tyrone Brigade – 2 Northern Division
1 Battalion: On 11 July 1921 this unit was designated as the 1 Bn. 1 Brigade, 2 Northern Division. Prior to 1 July 1922 this battalion transferred en masse to become the 1 Battalion, 3 Brigade, 2 Northern Division. The unit strength on 1 July 1922 was 310 all ranks. The companies of the 1 Battalion were located as follows: Coalisland, Edendork, Killyman, Derrytresk, Derryloughan, Aughamullen, Stewartstown and Killycolpy.
2 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 159 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 302 all ranks.The companies of the 2 Battalion were located as follows: Cookstown, Bellaherty, Ballinderry, Littlebridge, Moneymore, Keenaught, Lissan, Loop, Moorestown and an outpost at Magherafelt.
3 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 159 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 219 all ranks. The companies of the 3 Battalion were located as follows: Newbridge, Toomebridge, Cranfield, Moneyglass, Bellaghy, Gulladuff, Claudy and Portglenone.
