Cootehill Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 149 all ranks. Prior to 1 July 1922 the units of this battalion were transferred to the Carrickallen Battalion and the Cootehill Battalion was non-existent on that date. Carrickallen Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 106 all ranks. The unit strength on 1 July 1922 (including the members transferred in from the Cootehill Battalion) was 104 all ranks. The companies of the Carrickallen Battalion were located as follows: Carrickallen, Clifferna, Knockbride West, Larah, Cootehill, Kill and Maudabawn.
Cavan Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 265 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 134 all ranks.The companies of the Cavan Battalion were located as follows: Alacken, Annagh, Butlersbridge, Castletara, Cavan, Drumcrave, Drung, Lavey Lower and Bunnoe.
Crosserlough Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 128 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 35 all ranks. The companies of the Crosserlough Battalion were located as follows: Crosserlough, Ballyjamesduff, Crosskeys, Drumkilly, Kilnaleck, Lavey Upper and Mountnugent.
