1 Brigade Donegal – 1 Northern Division

1 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 660 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 586 all ranks. The companies of the 1 Battalion were located as follows: Dungloe, Burtonport, Meenacross, Doochary, Lettermacaward, Mullaghduff, Annagry, Kincasslagh, Eighter & Innisfree Islands, Rannafast and Arranmore.
2 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 446 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 439 all ranks. The companies of the 2 Battalion were located as follows: Dore, Derrybeg, Brinaleck, Gortahork, Meenlara and Meenaclaudy.
3 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 250 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 429 all ranks. The companies of the 3 Battalion were located as follows: Creeslough, Carrigart & Downings, Glen, Termon & Kilmacrenean, Lough Keel and Murroe & Dunfanaghy
